NRA INSTRUCTOR PERSONAL PROTECTION OUTSIDE THE HOME COURSE
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Short Description : To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Course
More Details: The course is sixteen hours long and is conducted by an NRA Training Counselor in a classroom and at a shooting facility.
PPOTH Instructor candidates will learn the following topics:
1.Introduction to NRA Basic PPOTH Course Outline and Lessons Plans
2. Teaching PPOTH Lesson V: Presenting the Pistol from Concealment
3. Teaching PPOTH Lesson VI: Presentation, Position, and Movement
4. Teaching PPITH Lesson VII: Special Shooting Techniques
PRE-REQUISITES
1) NRA (BIT) Basic Instruction Training must be completed within the 24 months preceding this course
2) Must be an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor
3) Must have passed the NRA Basic PPITH Course
4) Must be an NRA Certified Personal Inside The Home Instructor (PPITH)
5) Must have passed the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) basic 14-hour course
Bring your handgun, personal defense holster, cover garment and 500 rounds of ammunition.
